Basic Working Conditions in Japan
(as applicable to foreigners)

"So, where's the toilet that I should use?" ALT

The answer to one of the most basic questions, "Where's the bathroom?" is also the one thing that the Japanese staff/teachers will never tell you when you first get to the school. So, make sure to ask....otherwise you might stumble into a place where you absolutely should not be.

Basically, if you've never had experience working in a foreign society, then you're in for a real eye-opener when it comes to having absolutely no idea what anyone is doing or where they are going.

This section deals with all the things having to do with general work 'stuff.' Call it a random collection of the 'nuts and bolts' of working in a Japanese environment. I cover anything that has to do with the mundane things associated with teaching jobs: things like contracts, sick days,
moron supervisors, orientations, observation lessons, etc.

Every working condition that you experience in Japan will be similar to your home country's, just a bit different. Well, very different. Of course!!! Everything is Japanese style my friends.
